Reflecting on Training with FigJam
A lot of the training sessions that are offered to prep for the Rebelle are paced as intensive courses which means there’s a lot of info jam packed into a short amount of time. This is great because many of us work full time so it allows us to train without having to take a ton of time off work. However, this also means there’s a loooot of info and takeaways to remember. I know for me, if I don’t reflect and write down what I’ve learned within a few days of a training ending, I start to forget the details of what I’ve learned. As a visual learner, my favorite tool to reflect on training is FigJam. It’s basically an online whiteboarding tool that can be browser- or app-based. It is super powerful and easy to use. I use it for everything from brainstorming to moodboarding to mapping out tasks. For our training with Nena, I created a whiteboard to help me distill everything I had learned and set up new goals moving forward. I have come back to this several times since I created it to reflect on what I learned and ensure I’m following through with some of the goals I set.
